HL Deb 15 April 1969 vol 301 c9
LORD SHACKLETON

My Lords, in rising to move the Motion standing in my name on the Order Paper, I should like to say that if your Lordships agree to this course the Second Reading of the Decimal Currency Bill, of which we have just had the First Reading, will be taken after we have dealt with the Representation of the People Bill. I beg to move.

Moved, That Standing Order No. 41 (No two stages of a Bill to be taken on one day) be dispensed with for the purpose of allowing the Decimal Currency Bill to be read a first and a second time this day.—(Lord Shackleton.)

On Question, Motion agreed to.
