BARONESS SEROTA

My Lords, I beg to move that this House doth not insist on its Amendment No. 18, to which the Commons have disagreed, and agrees with the Commons in their Amendment No. 19 in lieu of the Lords Amendment No. 18.

Moved, That this House doth not insist on its Amendment No. 18 and agrees with the Commons in their Amendment No. 19 in lieu.—(Baroness Serota.)

VISCOUNT COLVILLE OF CULROSS

My Lords, I certainly would not suggest that this House should insist on its original Amendment. Having spent twenty minutes in considering this charge, I still do not understand the difference, but I have no doubt that it is an improvement in the Bill if the matter is dealt with as suggested in Amendment No. 19.

On Question, Motion agreed to.
