HL Deb 24 October 1968 vol 296 cc1544-5
LORD BESWICK

My Lords, it may be for the convenience of the House if I say that it is intended to take consideration of these Reasons and Amendments in the following order after the Secretary of State for Social Services Order: Law Reform (Miscellaneous Provisions) (Scotland) Bill; Race Relations Bill; Town and Country Planning Bill.

I might add that printed copies of these Reasons and Amendments have been available in the Printed Paper Office since 10 o'clock, a fact to which I draw special attention as it indicates the devotion of the Printers in this matter, since the debates on the Bills in the other place were not completed until 3.30 this morning.

SEVERAL NOBLE LORDS

Hear, hear!

THE MARQUESS OF ABERDEEN AND TEMAIR

My Lords, may I mention that I made an inquiry for those papers at 12 o'clock and that they were not then in the Printed Paper Office?

LORD BESWICK

My Lords, that would appear to detract from the praise I have just given, but my information is that they were there at 10 a.m. I will look into the matter again.
