[Nos. 20 and 21]

Clause 18, page 14, line 41, after "that" insert— (a)

Clause 18,page 15, line 4, at end insert— and (b) for the purpose of making any provision required or authorised to be made by regulations under section 24 of the said Act of 1957 (pensions and similar benefits for employees of B.E.A., B.O.A.C. and certain other undertakings and bodies) regulations under that section may incorporate and give effect to provisions contained in any trust deed entered into by any employing authority within the meaning of that section.

LORD BESWICK

I beg to move that this House doth agree with the Commons in their Amendments Nos. 20 and 21, which relate to the Air Corporations' Pensions Regulations Acts of 1948 and 1967. The purpose of these Amendments is simply to remove any possible doubt that the provisions of the trustees entered into by the Corporations with representatives of their employees are strictly in accordance with the powers of Section 24. It is a matter of removing possible doubts, and I hope the Amendments will be accepted.

Moved, That this House doth agree with the Commons in the said Amendments.—(Lord Beswick.)

On Question, Motion agreed to.
