HL Deb 27 February 1968 vol 289 c699

2.50 p.m.

THE PARLIAMENTARY SECRETARY, MINISTRY OF HOUSING AND LOCAL GOVERNMENT (LORD KENNET)

My Lords, these Regulations are subject to the Affirmative Resolution procedure in both Houses. They have passed the House of Commons. Their main purpose is to establish on a permanent basis the class of dental auxiliary which has been running, on a provisional basis, for the last five or six years and to allow for the continuation of the College at New Cross at which these girls are trained. No noble Lords have put down their names to speak, and I have not been informed of any observations which are to be made. So, in the interests of speedy procedure, I should like to move that the Regulations be approved. I shall, of course, be quite ready to answer any questions which noble Lords may wish to raise on them.

Moved, That the Draft Ancillary Dental Workers Regulations 1968, laid before the House on 29th January, be approved.—(Lord Kennet.)

On Question, Motion agreed to.
