HL Deb 30 April 1968 vol 291 c976
LORD TREFGARNE

My Lords, I beg leave to ask the second Question which stands in my name on the Order Paper.

[The Question was as follows:

To ask Her Majesty's Government whether any Rhodesian-registered aircraft operate between Rhodesia and South Africa; and if so, whether they intend, pursuant to paragraph 4 of their Draft Security Council Resolution, to restrict British airlines operating to South Africa.]

THE MINISTER OF STATE FOR FOREIGN AFFAIRS (LORD CHALFONT)

My Lords, I understand that aircraft which are registered in Rhodesia continue to provide a service between Rhodesia and South Africa. As to the second part of the Question, the answer is, "No, my Lords".

LORD TREFGARNE

My Lords, I thank the noble Lord for that reply.
