HL Deb 31 May 1967 vol 283 c1
LORD SHEPHERD

My Lords, with permission I wish to make a short Business Statement in relation to providing an opportunity for your Lordships' House to discuss the Middle East situation. Such an opportunity will be provided by a Government Motion to be taken tomorrow, Thursday, at 3 o'clock. This makes it necessary for the Committee stage of the Fugitive Offenders Bill to be postponed until Monday, June 12. In the circumstances, I hope that the House will agree that on Tuesday of next week, when we take the second day of the Committee stage of the Criminal Justice Bill, the House should sit late, when dinners will be provided.

So far as to-day's business is concerned my noble friend Lord Walston will be making a Statement on the Kennedy Round at a convenient moment after 3.30 p.m.
