§ LORD SHEPHERDMy Lords, it may be convenient to the House if I make a short business statement. In view of the large number of speakers who wish to take part in our Common Market debate, it has been arranged that we should finish the debate to-morrow; that is, before the debate on the Motion of the noble Lord, Lord Balfour of Inchrye, on the civil aircraft industry. I should like to express my great appreciation to the noble Lord for helping in this matter.
Dinner will be available to-night, and the House will resume to-morrow at 2 p.m. In view of the fact that the noble Lord, Lord Balfour of Inchrye, has agreed to postpone his Motion, I hope the House will agree that we should limit the number of speakers who will take part in the Common Market debate to-morrow to about six. This will mean that the debate on the noble Lord's Motion should not take place at an unduly late hour.
