HL Deb 28 June 1967 vol 284 c169
LORD SHEPHERD

My Lords, the House will see that on Wednesday, July 5, the House is being asked to approve the Prices and Incomes Act 1966 (Commencement of Part II) Order. This Order is closely related to the Prices and Incomes (No. 2) Bill which is now before another place. It has been thought that it would be for the convenience of your Lordships if a Paper containing details of that Bill were available before Wednesday. Therefore a Paper will be printed tonight and should be available to your Lordships before the weekend. I intend putting down for debate on Wednesday an Order to take note of this Paper, which would give the House an opportunity for a wide-ranging debate on Government policy in the field of prices and incomes. The House may regard this as helpful in ensuring the progress of the Prices and Incomes (No. 2) Bill when it is presented to your Lordships later on.
