HL Deb 18 January 1967 vol 279 c116
LORD BROCKWAY

My Lords, I beg leave to ask the second Question which stands in my name on the Order Paper.

[The Question was as follows:

To ask Her Majesty's Government what replies have been received to the appeal of the Foreign Secretary to the Governments of the U.S.A., North Vietnam and Saigon to participate in peace negotiations.]

LORD CHALFONT

My Lords, I understand that the Statement to which I have referred will deal very substantially with what the noble Lord has raised in his second Question. Therefore I wonder whether I might once again ask him to be patient.

LORD BROCKWAY

My Lords, in view of what my noble friend has said, I will of course reserve this matter also until we have the Statement.
