HL Deb 23 February 1967 vol 280 c800
LORD SHEPHERD

My Lords, in view of the number of inquiries, I think it might be for the convenience of the House if I were to make a short Statement with regard to next week's business. After consultations through the usual channels, it is felt that if we sit in Committee on the Iron and Steel Bill on Monday, the 27th, and Tuesday, the 28th, until approximately 8 p.m., it should be possible to conclude the Committee stage either on Tuesday evening or at a not unduly late hour on Thursday, March 2.I hope that this information will be helpful to noble Lords who wish to take part in the Committee stage.

It might also be convenient to the House if I were to announce that it has been agreed, again through the usual channels, that the Report stage of the Iron and Steel Bill shall be taken on Thursday, March 9.
