HL Deb 20 December 1967 vol 287 c1439
LORD BESWICK

My Lords, consequent upon the announcement in another place, several noble Lords have asked whether it is intended that this House should reassemble on a date earlier than January 23, which was the date I indicated to your Lordships in the Statement on Monday, December 11. Our original arrangements still stand, and the House will reassemble on Tuesday, January 23. Of course, should circumstances require, the House could be recalled under the usual arrangements.

My Lords, may I also say that, as my noble friend Lord Chalfont has already indicated, he will be making a Statement on the Common Market at a convenient moment after 3.30 p.m.
