§ Moved, That the Bill be now read 3a.—(The Lord Chancellor.)
§ On Question, Bill read 3a.
§ THE LORD CHANCELLOR
My Lords, I beg to move that this Bill do now pass. This Bill, your Lordships may remember, is a consolidation of all those parts of the last 15 Finance Acts which relate to capital allowances. Making a start on the consolidation of the whole of the Finance Acts by selecting a particular subject matter out of those Acts means that at the end we 1445 shall have four or five large pieces to put together, instead of a large number of small ones. I beg to move.

§ On Question, Bill passed, and sent to the Commons.
