HL Deb 23 November 1966 vol 278 c238

Brought from the Commons.

LORD SHEPHERD

My Lords, in moving that the Industrial Reorganisation Corporation Bill be now read a first time I should like to draw the attention of the House to the notification which appeared in our Minutes to the effect that if the Bill was received on Tuesday, November 22, it was intended to set it down for Second Reading on Thursday, December 1. In view of the fact that the Bill is only one day late, I hope that the House will agree to the Second Reading taking place as previously arranged. I beg to move that the Bill be now read a first time.

Moved. That the Bill be now read 1a.—(Lord Shepherd.)

On Question, Bill read 1a, and to be printed.
