THE MINISTER WITHOUT PORTFOLIO (LORD CHAMPION)

My Lords, with permission of the House I ask leave to correct an answer which I gave to a supplementary question yesterday, quoted in col. 120 of Hansard, when I said that my right honourable friend the Minister of Transport had met on Monday one of the important unions connected with the question of freight-liner trains. The meeting was, in fact, with the British Road Services Management. I should like to apologise to the House for this error, which arose out of my misunderstanding of a telephoned reply to my request for the latest information on the freight-liner train position.
