LORD BARN BY

My Lords, I beg leave to ask the Question which stands in my name on the Order Paper.

[The Question was as follows:

To ask Her Majesty's Government whether in their opinion there is any substance in the claim made by the Worshipful Company of Woolmen to an ancient right to supply wool for the Woolsack.]

LORD HILTON OF UPTON

My Lords, Her Majesty's Government have no information to substantiate such a claim, but will be prepared to examine any evidence which may be brought to their notice in support of it.
