HL Deb 28 February 1966 vol 273 cc465-6
LORD SHEPHERD

My Lords, I should like to make a short Business Statement. At a suitable moment after 3.30 p.m., my noble friend Lord Bowles, will be making a statement on the reciprocal agreement with the Irish Republic on social security. May I also announce that dinner will be available this evening. anybody could be mistaken on the matter, and I hope that the House will pass the Order.

LORD AIREDALE

My Lords, the Minister has now introduced something which he did not mention initially; namely, that nobody is going to be misled. Has he forgotten the thousands of people who visit this country every summer from countries where milk is dealt with in litres? Surely when those people see a pint of milk for the first time over here they would be pleased to see the quantity marked on the bottle.

3.7 p.m.

On Question, Whether the said Motion shall be agreed to?

Their Lordships divided: Contents, 43; Not-Contents, 22.
