HL Deb 20 December 1966 vol 278 cc1956-7
LORD SHEPHERD

My Lords, with permission I should like to make a short business statement. The House will meet tomorrow at 11 a.m., and we shall then take Questions. I hope that it will be possible to complete the next three items on the Order Paper—the Second Readings of the General Rate Bill and the Air Corporations Bill, and the Regional Railway Boards Order, against which a Prayer has been laid by my noble friend Lord Lindgren—before 11.55 a.m. when we shall have to adjourn to take the Royal Commission. Assuming that that business has been completed, it is intended that after the Royal Commission the House should adjourn during pleasure until 12.30 p.m. when we shall reconvene in Committee to complete the Committee stage of the Companies Bill. In order to help noble Lords involved in the Companies Bill lunches will be available from 12 noon.
