§ 2.51 p.m.
§ LORD SHEPHERDMy Lords, this morning I had discussions with noble Lords opposite, and I apologise to noble Lords who sit on the Liberal Benches that I was unable to include them in those discussions. It has been decided that it would be for the convenience of the House if we continued our Business to-day beyond the time indicated last week. Therefore, we intend to proceed with the Committee stage of the Land Commission Bill and to adjourn at about 7.30 in order that Members may have dinner. I fear that, in the circumstances, the meals available will have to be restricted to Members only. We have not been able to make provision for guests.
