§ LORD SHEPHERDMy Lords, may I make a short Statement on Business? On Tuesday, November 2, we shall have the First Reading of the Honourable Lady Hylton-Foster's Annuity Bill and we shall take the Second Reading and all stages of that Bill on Wednesday. We shall also consider on Wednesday the results of the Common's consideration of the Lords Amendments on the Rent Bill.
Unless urgent Business necessitates, it is not intended that this House should sit on Thursday next. It is intended that Prorogation shall take place at 11 a.m. on Friday, November 5, and that the new Session of Parliament shall be opened by Her Majesty the Queen on Tuesday, November 9, at 11.30 o'clock.
