HL Deb 26 October 1965 vol 269 c529
LORD SHEPHERD

My Lords, I have to inform the House that there will be a Royal Commission at approximately 4 p.m., to signify Her Majesty's approval to the Commons' choice of a new Speaker.

Also, my noble friend Lord Shackleton will be making a Statement on the closure of the Joint Anti-Submarine School at Londonderry. I think it would be for the convenience of the House if that Statement were made after the Third Reading of the Murder (Abolition of Death Penalty) Bill instead of breaking into that debate twice.
