HL Deb 30 November 1965 vol 270 cc1241-2

Brought from the Commons; read la, and to be printed.

These are the kind of things which I think we ought to look at again, and I am perfectly prepared to discuss them with the noble and learned Viscount, the noble Lord, Lord Brain, if he is willing to do so, and the right reverend Prelate the Lord Bishop of Exeter, and see whether we cannot produce something, preferably before Christmas. With that understanding, I hope that your Lordships will be prepared to give this Bill an unopposed Second Reading.

8.43 p.m.

On Question, Whether the Bill shall be now read 2a?

Their Lordships divided: Contents, 67; Not-Contents, 8.
