LORD SHEPHERD

My Lords, there will be two Statements this afternoon shortly after 3.30 p.m., one by my noble friend Lord Lindgren on fog precautions on the motorways, and another by my noble friend Lord Hobson on licences for drilling on the Continental Shelf.

My Lords, on behalf of my noble friend the Leader of the House, I beg to move the Motion which stands in his name on the Order Paper.

Moved, That Standing Order No. 35 (Arrangement of the Order Paper) be dispensed with to-morrow for the purpose of giving precedence to the Second Reading of the Church of England Convocations Bill over the Motions for the approval of the eight Southern Rhodesia Orders.—(Lord Shepherd.)

On Question, Motion agreed to, and ordered accordingly.
