24 Leave out Clause 1 and insert …

The amendment is called in the usual way and disposed of.

According as the decision goes, the next question is "That Clause 1 stand part of the Bill"; or "That the new Clause 1 stand part of the Bill".

III. Where there is a conjunction of I and II i.e. where Lord A has given notice that he wishes to leave out the Clause and Lord B that he wishes to substitute a new Clause for it, this would be shown as follows:—
