§ LORD AIREDALEMy Lords, on behalf of the Lord Chairman, I beg to move the Motion which stands in his name on the Order Paper.
§ *Moved, That Amendments to the Standing Orders relative to Private Bills etc., consequent upon the passing of the London Government Act 1963, the Defence (Transfer of Functions) Act 1964 and the Secretary of State for Education and Science Order 1964, be agreed to.—(Lord Airedale.)
§ LORD MORRISON OF LAMBETHMy Lords, we have now had an opportunity to look at these Amendments to the Standing Orders and, in our opinion, they are reasonable and proper. I should like to say that we are much obliged to the Lord Chairman of Committees, who we understand cannot be here this afternoon, for having postponed this matter until to-day. Having examined the proposed Amendments to the Standing Orders and found them satisfactory, we are in agreement with the Motion the noble Lord has just moved.
§ On Question, Motion agreed to, and ordered accordingly; the said Amendments to be printed.
