Order of the Day read for the consideration of the First Report from the Select Committee.

The Committee's Report was as follows:

  1. 1. Introductions. The Committee have considered the ceremony of the introduction of newly created Peers and whether any modification ought to be made with a view to curtailing its length.
  2. 2. Appellations. The Committee have considered methods of describing Peers in debate and recommend that the practice should be as set out in a memorandum which the Committee have caused to be placed in the Printed Paper Office.
