THE LORD CHANCELLOR (LORD DILHORNE)

My Lords, I have to inform your Lordships that, following an Address from your Lordships' House dated December 17, 1920, His late Majesty King George V was pleased to terminate, by Letters Patent dated February 23, 1921, the abeyance of the Baronies of Strange of Knokin, of Hungerford and of de Moleyns in favour of Elizabeth Frances, the wife of John Wynford Viscount St. Davids. Now, in pursuance of Section 6 of the Peerage Act, 1963, a Writ of Summons has been issued in right of the Barony of Strange of Knokin and the noble Lady attends at the Bar to take her seat.

After which, Baroness Strange of Knokin took the Oath.

Lord Hampton—Sat first in Parliament after the death of his brother.
