THE JOINT PARLIAMENTARY SECRETARY MINISTRY OF AGRICULTURE, FISHERIES AND FOOD (LORD ST. OSWALD)My Lords, according to the British Sugar Corporation, the cost of raw sugar of 97.5 degrees polarisation delivered to refiners from the 1961–62 beet crop was £53 9s. 7d. per ton before taking account of duty, preference and surcharge.
