HL Deb 14 March 1963 vol 247 c857
VISCOUNT MASSEREENE AND FERRARD

My Lords, I beg leave to ask the Question which stands in my name on the Order Paper.

[The Question was as follows:

To ask Her Majesty's Government how much longer Chief Anthony Enahoro of Nigeria is to be held in Brixton Gaol at the request of the Nigerian Federal Government and what is the policy of Her Majesty's Government on political refugees from Commonwealth countries.]

THE LORD CHANCELLOR (LORD DILHORNE)

My Lords, my right honourable friend the Home Secretary will be making a statement in another place shortly after half-past three dealing with some of the matters raised in this Question, and, with your Lordships' permission, I will answer this Question and inform your Lordships of my right honourable friend's statement at some time about that hour.

VISCOUNT MASSEREENE AND FERRARD

My Lords, I thank the noble and learned Lord for that reply.
