THE LORD CHANCELLOR

My Lords, I have to acquaint your Lordships' House that by virtue of the power granted to me as Lord Chancellor by the Statute 5, George IV, Chapter 82, Section 3, I have appointed Robert Westby Perceval, Esquire, to be your Lordships' Reading Clerk and Clerk of Outdoor Committees in the place of David Stephens, Esquire, who has been appointed Clerk of the Parliaments.

I beg to move that this House do approve the appointment of the said Robert Westby Perceval to be your Lordships' Reading Clerk and Clerk of Outdoor Committees in the place of David Stephens, who has been appointed Clerk of the Parliaments.

Moved accordingly, and, on Question, Motion agreed to, nemine dissentiente.
