HL Deb 04 December 1963 vol 253 c965

My Lords, I beg leave to ask the second Question which stands in my name on the Order Paper.

[The Question was as follows:

To ask Her Majesty's Government whether the reconstruction of the railway bridge approaches at Victoria Station now makes it practicable to develop a rail service between that station and London Airport.]

My Lords, the reconstruction of the Grosvenor railway bridge has been undertaken because it required renewal. The opportunity is being taken of including an additional track to improve operations on the line. The track layout could be adapted for a rail service between Victoria and London Airport.

I thank my noble friend.
