HL Deb 23 April 1963 vol 248 c1097

2.35 p.m.

EARL ALEXANDER OF HILLSBOROUGH

My Lords, I beg leave to ask the Question which stands in my name on the Order Paper.

[The Question was as follows:

To ask Her Majesty's Government whether they will make a statement on the recent breach of security concerning Civil Defence.]

THE LORD PRESIDENT OF THE COUNCIL AND MINISTER FOR SCIENCE (VISCOUNT HAILSHAM)

My Lords, may I take this opportunity of saying that we all in this House, and particularly on these Benches, are glad to see the noble Earl back again, and I trust he comes back in his usual robust health.

My right honourable friend the Prime Minister has down for answer to-day in another place a number of Parliamentary Questions dealing with this topic. With the noble Earl's permission and that of the House I will at a convenient moment after 3.15 p.m. repeat the Answer which he will give.
