§ Clause 37, page 30, line 42, leave out ("wire or cable") and insert ("apparatus")
§ Clause 37, page 30, line 44, at end, insert ("or the proper functioning of such apparatus")
§ LORD CHESHAMMy Lords, these go together and are small Amendments to ensure that Clause 37, which is intended to secure that any electrical apparatus in connection with a pipeline does not interfere with Post Office lines or electric lines for controlling railway apparatus, includes railway "track circuits", which are used for signalling; and where the current runs up the line itself. They do not appear to be covered at present but now they will be. I beg to move that this House doth agree with the Commons in the said Amendments.
§ Moved, That this House doth agree with the Commons in the said Amendments.—(Lord Chesham.)
