HL Deb 23 July 1962 vol 242 c876

[The references are to Bill [60] as first printed for the House of Commons] Clause 1, page 1, line 16, after ("which") insert (i).

LORD CRAIGTON

My Lords, with the approval of your Lordships, I should like to discuss Commons Amendments Nos. 1 to 5 together. This group of Amendments ensures that the main restaurant business of the holders of the new restaurant and restricted hotel certificates is not serving light refreshments but serving main meals. The serving of drinks must, of course, be ancillary, whatever type of meal is supplied. I beg to move that this House doth agree with the Commons in the said Amendment.

Moved, That this House doth agree with the Commons in the said Amendment.—(Lord Craigton.)

On Question, Motion agreed to.
