HL Deb 05 December 1962 vol 245 cc239-40

BARONESS SUMMERSKILL had given Notice of the following Question:

To ask Her Majesty's Government whether they will direct the British Drug Houses to withdraw the drug Ancoloxin from the market following the statement by the College of General Practitioners, which draws the attention of doctors to an association it has found between the maternal use of this antiemetic drug and the birth of congenitally deformed babies.

THE EARL OF LUCAN

My Lords, I have to convey the apologies of my noble friend Lady Summerskill to the House because she is unable to come to the House to-day. I do not propose to ask the next Question on her behalf.
