HL Deb 31 May 1961 vol 231 c807
LORD DOUGLAS OF BARLOCH

My Lords, with your Lordships' permission may I make a statement about the Motion which stands in my name on the Order Paper for to-morrow? A number of your Lordships have informed me that they would like to take part in the discussion, but that the day and the hour at which this is likely to come on make it impossible for them. I have therefore arranged to have the debate postponed until Thursday, June 15. I am afraid that I must tender your Lordships an apology. This Motion appeared upon the Order Paper only just before we adjourned for the Whitsun Recess, and probably it did not come to the notice of some of your Lordships until late. The fault is mine. If I have inconvenienced any Member of your Lordships' House, I should like to apologise to him.
