EARL ST. ALDWYNMy Lords, I should like to inform your Lordships that my noble friend Lord St. Oswald will be making a statement on the Post Office at some suitable moment after 3.30 p.m.
In view of the announcement that my right honourable friend the Prime Minister will be making a statement on the Common Market next Monday, it has been arranged, through the usual channels, that we should discuss it in this House on a Government Motion on Thursday week, August 3.
Finally, to those of your Lordships who are members of the Offices Committee I would say that it has been suggested that it might be more convenient, in view of the Chancellor's statement in another place, to have the meeting at 5 o'clock to-morrow, instead of at 3.30.
