HL Deb 20 July 1961 vol 233 c781

3.19 p.m.

EARL ST. ALDWYN

My Lords, in moving this Motion on behalf of my noble friend the Leader of the House, I Should like to inform your Lordships that it has been arranged through the usual channels that the Report stage of the Licensing Bill should be taken on Tuesday next, and the whole day has been set aside for this purpose. The Third Reading will be taken on Wednesday next. In addition, it has been arranged that on Thursday next there will be a debate on the economic situation. Consideration of the Commons Amendments to the Trustee Investments Bill has been put off from Wednesday next until the Monday following. I beg to move.

Moved, That leave be given to advance the Report stage of the Licensing Bill (which stands appointed for Wednesday next) to Tuesday next.—(Earl St. Aldwyn.)

LORD OGMORE

My Lords, may I ask the noble Earl whether the North Atlantic Shipping Bill, which is down to have its Third Reading on Tuesday, will he taken on Wednesday? He did not mention that. May I ask also whether the Visiting Forces Order will also be discussed on Wednesday?

EARL ST. ALDWYN

My Lords, they will both be dealt with on Wednesday.

On Question, Motion agreed to, and ordered accordingly.
