§ LORD BRECONMy Lords, I beg to move that this House cloth agree with the Commons in Amendment No. 5. Subsection (3) provides that:
no person shall undertake a demolition … unless he has … given … notice".In some circumstances this might be regarded as applying to more than one person, such as the contractor as well as the owner, and it might be thought that they should both be given notice. This Amendment makes it clear that only one notice of intention to demolish a building is required.
