HL Deb 27 April 1961 vol 230 cc966-7
EARL ST. ALDWYN

My Lords, I think it may be for the convenience of your Lordships if I say a word about the first day of the Committee stage of the Road Traffic Bill. It is the intention that, if possible, we should complete the Amendments to Clauses 1 and 2. If, perchance, we should finish Clause 2 fairly early, I suggest to your Lordships that we should not continue beyond Clause 2 to-day, so that those of your Lordships who are not concerned with Clauses 1 and 2 but with later clauses may know that their business will not come on to-day.
