HL Deb 18 May 1960 vol 223 c934

2.58 p.m.

LORD GRANTCHESTER

My Lords, I beg leave to ask the Question which stands in my name on the Order Paper.

[The Question was as follows:

To ask Her Majesty's Government whether they have received confirmation of the reported unanimous decision of the Foreign Ministers of the European Community that there should be an early resumption of trade talks with this country.]

THE MINISTER WITHOUT PORTFOLIO (THE EARL OF DUNDEE)

My Lords, we have not yet received an official communication from the Ministers of the Six; but we look forward to hearing from them in the near future.

LORD GRANTCHESTER

My Lords, I thank the noble Earl for his reply.
