HL Deb 15 March 1960 vol 221 cc1105-6
THE CHAIRMAN OF COMMITTEES (LORD MERTHYR)

My Lords, with the permission of the House, I wish to make a brief statement about these two Bills. They are down on the Order Paper for Third Reading to-morrow. I have now been informed that there is opposition to these Bills and, indeed, that there may be a Motion for their rejection. In those circumstances, I propose to remove them from the Order Paper to-day so that more time will be available for discussion, and put them down at a later date for some day which I hope will be for the convenience of all those concerned.
