§ 2.55 p.m.
EARL ST. ALDWYNMy Lords, I should like to inform the House that my noble friend Lord Waldegrave will be making a statement at some time after 3.30 p.m., on the talks with the National Farmers' Union. It has been arranged through the usual channels that tomorrow, Tuesday, we should take the further consideration of the Committee stage of the Weights and Measures Bill before the Report and Third Reading of the Trustee Investments Bill. I think this will meet with the general approval of most noble Lords in the House. The Weights and Measures Bill has had to start fairly late on several days, so I think it will be for the general convenience of the House if we adopt this course.
§ LORD BARNBYMy Lords, may I ask the noble Earl how late we shall sit to-morrow?
EARL ST. ALDWYNMy Lords, unless we are within absolute sight of the conclusion of the Committee stage of the Weights and Measures Bill, I expect to adjourn the Committee stage at about 8 o'clock.
