HL Deb 13 December 1960 vol 227 cc374-5

2.54 p.m.

VISCOUNT ALEXANDER OF HILLSBOROUGH

My Lords, I should like to ask Her Majesty's Government a Question of which I have given them Private Notice: Whether the Government will make a statement on the withdrawal of the African delegates from the Federal Review Conference at Lancaster House yesterday, and on the postponement of the Central African Territorial Conference?

VISCOUNT HAILSHAM

My Lords, as I believe the noble Viscount knows, there is to be a parallel Question in another place in similar terms, and I am hoping that my noble friend the Duke of Devonshire will be available to answer the noble Viscount's Question a little later in the Sitting, if that is convenient to your Lordships.
