HL Deb 27 April 1960 vol 223 c91
THE LORD PRESIDENT OF THE COUNCIL AND SECRETARY OF STATE FOR COMMONWEALTH RELATIONS (THE EARL OF HOME)

My Lords, as the House is aware, the Conference of Commonwealth Prime Ministers is to take place in the next two weeks or so, and, as I am sure the House will understand, it is very desirable that, as Commonwealth Secretary, I should be there with them as often as possible. I will try to be here as often as I can, but I will arrange for my noble and learned friend Lord Hailsham, or another of my colleagues, to be present when I cannot be here.
