HL Deb 14 July 1959 vol 217 c1127
EARL ST. ALDWYN

My Lords, I should like to inform the House that it has been arranged through the usual channels that the House should meet at 2.45 on Thursday next, instead of 3 p.m., the reason being that we have an introduction and a Royal Commission, in addition to a considerable amount of Business.

VISCOUNT STANSGATE

My Lords, the Government have a Motion down on Thursday to suspend Standing Order 35. On the Tuesday of the week after there is the Report stage of the Legitimacy Bill. Is it too early to ask now, or perhaps on Thursday, whether it is intended to deprive the Legitimacy Bill of the precedence it at present enjoys?

EARL ST. ALDWYN

My Lords, I will consider that point and inform the noble Viscount about it.
