HL Deb 02 July 1959 vol 217 c639
THE LORD CHANCELLOR (VISCOUNT KILMUIR)

My Lords, I beg to move the Motion standing in my name on the Order Paper. The procedure is that to which I drew attention when I moved the Second Reading of the Town and Country Planning Bill.

Moved to resolve, That it is desirable that, in the present Session, all Bills for re-enacting in the form in which they apply to Scotland the provisions of an existing Statute be referred to the Joint Committee on Consolidation Bills.—(The Lord Chancellor.)

On Question, Motion agreed to.

Ordered, That a Message be sent to the Commons to communicate the Resolution and to desire their concurrence.
