HL Deb 28 January 1959 vol 213 c876

VISCOUNT ALEXANDER OF HILLSBOROUGH had given Notice of his intention to ask Her Majesty's Government: "Whether they will state what is the extent of State capital at present involved in the capitalisation of Messrs. Colvilles Limited, and what is its nature, and whether the Government intends to arrange for an additional measure of security to be entered into by the company before the first advance under the scheme set out in col. 702 of the OFFICIAL REPORT, 21st January, 1959." The noble Viscount said: My Lords, I am not now proposing to ask this Question to-day because to make matters more convenient for the Ministry, I have agreed to their request that I should put it down together with another that is already down for to-morrow. I must apologise, although it is not my fault, to any noble Lord who may have come expecting perhaps to ask a supplementary question in regard to this particular Question.
