EARL ST. ALDWYNMy Lords, on behalf of my noble and learned friend the Lord Chancellor, I beg to move the Motion standing in his name on the Order Paper.
§ Moved, That a Committee of six Lords be appointed to join with a Committee of the House of Commons as a Joint Committee on Consolidation Bills (including Bills for consolidating Private Acts), Statute Law Revision Bills and Bills presented under the Consolidation of Enactments (Procedure) Act, 1949, in the present Session;
§ That the Memoranda laid and any representations made with respect thereto under the said Act be referred to the Joint Committee;
222§ That the Lords following be named of the Committee:

- L. Rathcreedan,
- L. Terrington,
- L. Cawley,
- L. Jessel,
- L. Broughshane;
§ That such Committee have power to agree with the Committee of the House of Commons in the appointment of a Chairman.—(Earl St. Aldwyn)
