HL Deb 15 May 1958 vol 209 cc437-8

THE EARL OF ONSLOW

My Lords, it may be for your convenience, before the House adjourns, that I should tell your Lordships that it is hoped that Parliament will be able to adjourn for the If that is not a complete rejection of the idea, then English does not mean to the noble Lord what it means to me. I can only say that I much regret that the noble Lord has not given way in any sense and has not given us the slightest encouragement. I can see nothing for it but to ask those noble Lords who would like to see a workable scheme for the disc system tried out alongside or conjointly with the parking meter scheme to support me in the Division Lobby.

On Question, Whether the Motion shall be agreed to?

Their Lordships divided: Contents, 4; Not-Contents, 38.
